Daycon was founded by David Cohen in 1942, and was built on three basic principles that hold true today. First, we are dedicated to customer service at all levels throughout our organization. Second, we are committed to integrity and respect for our employees and clients. Third, we maintain our social responsibility to the millions of consumers who occupy or visit buildings that are cleaned and maintained using Daycon products, equipment and value-added services.
We offer high performance training, specialized training and product & process assessments to help companies cut cost and achieve their best possible performance levels. Our training and value added services are developed with green and sustainable objectives. We partner with like-minded vendors, such as Tennant, Rubbermaid, Pro-Team, Unger, Tork USA, GOJO, and Revolution Bag that offer reliable, high-performing products with a focus on green and sustainable cleaning.
Our New Dawn Manufacturing team focuses on the research and development of next-generation, environmentally responsible, cleaning formulations. We provide a robust line of green certified chemicals that are approved by 3rd party organizations such as Green Seal and ULe (EcoLogo). Daycon chemicals are manufactured locally in the mid-Atlantic region and New Dawn is certified to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
In 2005, Daycon founded an independent training and consulting organization, Building Wellness Institute (BWI), to address the industry’s need for green and sustainable cleaning practices. BWI is the nation’s only accredited training program recognized by the Green Seal organization. The Institute assists companies, schools and universities with achieving certification under the GS-42 and CIMSGB standards. Furthermore, BWI can help with the achievement of points towards LEED certification. BWI services are available nationally.
Through these endeavors, and many more, we are committed to continuing to honor our history and our mission by delivering the greatest possible value to our customers and our communities for many years to come.
